Lizbeth “Liz” Vazquez

Civic Engagement Director Lizbeth "Liz" Vazquez is a single mom to a beautiful boy named Christopher. Born and raised in Sonora, Mexico, Liz immigrated to the United States.

She graduated from the Arizona Western College Community Health Program and completed a Credential of Family Development at the University of Connecticut. Liz has been a community leader in Yuma County since she was 17 years old. She still has a desire to continue with her education.

Liz started with Promise AZ  in 2010 where they mobilized the community and educated them about the harms of SB-1070. She has worked with  Chispa Arizona in previous campaigns in voter registration and clean energy.

Liz began as a field canvasser. Her determination and drive have allowed her to grow into many leadership positions, such as Organizer and Quality Control Manager, and in 2020 became the Field Coordinator for Chispa Arizona PAC. Liz always finds ways to keep information fresh and encourage others to build community with her.
